Coming soon to Austin

Coming Attractions: Vinaigrette, South Austin Beer Garden, Mas Vino

The restaurant scene in Austin is ever-expanding. Soon, the city gets three more places to eat and drink, from the salad-focused Vinaigrette to wine and small bites in Clarksville from Mas Vino.

The New Mexican salad bistro xpands to Austin this September. Based on the current menu from the state, expect salad combinations with quirky names like The Nutty Pear-fessor and All Kale Caesar!, along with different protein options, including hibiscus-cured duck confit and and seared diver scallops. Chef and owner Erin Wade will take over the former Tree House Italian Grill on 2201 College Avenue near South Congress Avenue. Wade grew most of the produce for the Santa Fe and Albuquerque restaurants on her farm in the state. Similarly, she’s planning on buying a nearby Austin farm, for even closer local sourcing for the new Vinaigrette, according to the Austin Business Journal.
